Reading Berks Intergroup

CPC/PI

PURPOSE AND FUNCTION OF CPC/PI

CPC/PI is a combination of two committees dedicated to sharing the AA message and working with our community.

Cooperation with the Professional Community Committee (CPC):

Formed to establish open communication, while not affiliating, with professionals in various professional communities. Our hope is, that by creating a relationship and providing them with information about our organization, they will be better equipped to provide the necessary support to those who have a problem with alcohol.

Public Information Committee (PI):

Provides general information about A.A. to the public while preserving our anonymity.

What do we do?

We offer literature, information, and direct outreach for professionals in a number of settings including but not limited to:

  • Medical offices, clinics, and hospitals
  • Legal settings
  • Police and fire departments
  • Health Fairs
  • Community Events
  • Social services and other non-profit community organizations
  • Schools
  • Shelters
