INSTITUTIONS 12-STEP COMMITMENTS IN INSTITUTIONS: A.A. members are encouraged to practice the twelfth step by sharing their experience, strength and hope. One way is to carry the message of A.A. to correctional and treatment facilities where there may be suffering alcoholics. Designated Reading-Berks Intergroup chairpersons help facilitate these endeavors. CORRECTIONAL FACILITY COMMITMENTS For an A.A. member to bring meetings in to Berks County Jail System, one must fill out required forms before approval. The guidelines and requirements to attend an in-person meeting at Berks County Jail System have changed for 2024.  All BCJS Volunteer information, as well as required forms, can be found below. They can no longer be sent to the RBI Corrections chairperson.
